I just wanted to post this link to a documentary on adolescent thrill seeking and brain injuries. The documentary follows the stories of three guys from Vancouver Island (snowboarder, hockey player, skateboarder) who had an accident that resulted in permanent brain damage. The documentary was shown on the Knowledge Network and contains relevant information about an adolescence brain in relation to thrill seeking. Once you follow the link the video is on the top right called "Wipe out" but it is 50 min. long. I will be showing this video to my Communications 12 class along with some comprehension activities.
